16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence:

Why 16 Days Isn't Enough

The #16DaysOfActivism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is an annual international campaign that runs from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10.

Its aim is to highlight and combat violence against women and girls globally. However, gender-based violence affects not just women but also men and children. Abuse doesn’t take breaks—it happens every day of the year, in every corner of the world.

At Rise, we believe 16 days is not enough. Abuse doesn’t rest, so neither can we. Our goal is to raise awareness, provide support, and empower survivors #365dayschallenge a year. This year, however, we are aligning with the 16 Days campaign to engage our community in focused daily themes to amplify our ongoing efforts during this period.
